Linear Sequential Circuits

چکیده
This paper states the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a feedforward inverse for a feedforward linear sequential circuit and gives an implicit procedure for constructing such inverses. It then goes on to give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of general inverses with finite delay and gives procedures for constructing a class of such inverses. The discussion considers both the transfer function matrix description and the structural matrix description of the linear sequential circuit, together with the complementary nature of the results obtained from these two viewpoints. Finally, a large part of the work is motivated by results and techniques which have been applied in the study of continuous-time linear dynamical systems and thus serves to point out the advantages which may accrue through simultaneous study of both continuous-time systems and linear sequential circuits.

Design and Test of New Robust QCA Sequential Circuits
One of the several promising new technologies for computing at nano-scale is quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA). In this paper, new designs for different QCA sequential circuits are presented. Using an efficient QCA D flip-flop (DFF) architecture, a 5-bit counter, a novel single edge generator (SEG) and a divide-by-2 counter are implemented. Also, some types of oscillators, a new edge-t...

This study presents the importance of reversible logic in designing of high performance and low power consumption digital circuits. In our research, the various forms of sequential reversible circuits such as D, T, SR and JK flip-flops are investigated based on carbon nanotube field-effect transistors. All reversible flip-flops are simulated in two voltages, 0.3 and 0.5 Volt. Our results show t...

متن کاملReducing Circuit Soft Error Rate (SER): From Combinational to Sequential Circuits
Soft errors have been a critical reliability concern in nanoscale integrated circuits, especially in sequential circuits where a latched error can be propagated for multiple clock cycles and affect more than one output, more than once. This paper presents an analytical methodology for enhancing the soft error tolerance of sequential circuits. By using clock skew scheduling, we propose to minimi...
